Join our Suicide Loss Grief Group. It`s an 8-week support group in North Oakland, meeting Thursdays from 6PM – 8PM, starting January 30th. This group provides a safe, understanding space to process the unique grief of suicide loss.

Description: The workshop’s goal is to provide medical professionals with an introduction to suicide safety planning. Developed in collaboration with a patient, a suicide safety plan can help prevent crises from escalating by providing a person with tangible self-help coping strategies, including determining who can be most helpful during a crisis. Intended for medical professionals and those working in health care settings in Alameda County, however all are welcome!
Learning objectives: Understand the background of suicide safety planning Understand how to use a suicide safety plan Learn how to support a patient in developing a suicide safety plan
CE Info: At this time, CEs are available for nurses only: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider # CEP17897, for 1 contact hour. For those who work in Alameda County, CE certificates are free. For those who work outside of Alameda County, there is a $5 fee for CE certificates. The workshop is free to attend.
