A discussion regarding the increased risk of suicide among front line workers. Working in a healthcare setting during the pandemic, regardless of one’s role can impact every facet of the individual’s life. With the crisis being prolonged, members of the Staying Strong Against COVID 19 emotional support line will talk about how systemic issues have contributed to increased stress, isolation, and experience of moral distress among front line workers. This group includes hospital workers, support staff at assisted living homes, contract tracers and workers who support our unsheltered population. This panel will discuss protective factors and how the Staying Strong line hopes to mitigate these challenges.
