While our volunteers come from all walks of life, for those pursuing or considering a career in mental health, working with CSS is particularly beneficial. Our interns are graduate students who have progressed far enough through their degree programs to start obtaining hours for licensure. Certified by the American Association of Suicidology, CSS offers a variety of counseling services to the community, including individual, couples, family, and group counseling for children, adults, and older adults.

Licensed mental health professionals make a one-year commitment to supervise one of the agency’s Mental Health Counselors working in any combination of 4 clinical areas: 24-hour Crisis Line, Grief Counseling, School-Based Counseling, and Geriatric Mental Health Counseling.
